Kollontai, Aleksandra
SVOBODNAYA LYUBOV' ("Free Love"). A Novel
Riga: O. D. Strock [Strok], 1925
Alexandra Kollontay (1872-1952): Passionate architect of feminism in the early Soviet Union. Text in Russian. Early unlettered cloth. 142, (2) pp. Catalogue. Ex-library copy with expected imperfections. An important and influential novel. First published in America in 1927 by Seven Arts as RED LOVE; by Vanguard as A GREAT LOVE in 1929 and in England by Dent in 1932 as FREE LOVE (the only English language edition ever thus titled). There was a Japanese edition of RED LOVE, also in 1927. Very rarely does any immediate reference cite 1925 and Riga as the place of publication and date. Rare. Library loss, your gain.
