Konashevich [Konachevitch], Vladimir Mikhailovich [Mikhaylovich] (1888-1963)
Well-known Russian and Soviet graphic artist and painter. Studied from Korovin and Maliutin. Professor of VKhUTEMAS. Mostly known for his illustrations for children's books. "World of Art" exponent. Exhibited in 1923 (Petrograd) with Tatlin, Filonov; in 1927 (Tokyo) with Altman, Stenberg; in 1930 (Berlin) with Favorsky, Lebedev, Malevich; in 1931 (Paris) with Klutsis, Lissitzky, Popova, Rodchenko, Stepanova, Telingater; etc. Information on him can be found in Milner, Bown, "Dictionnaire..."
