[Bely Andrey (Belyi, Andrei) (1880-1934): the famous poet and writer, theorist of Symbolism. - Shklovsky, Victor (1893-?): Well-known Soviet writer and literary critic. Was close to Futurism, Mayakovsky, Khlebnikov, Kruchenykh. One of the founders of Formalism in literary criticism (OPOYAZ) with Brik, Eichenbaum, et al. - Gor'ky, Maksim [Peshkov, Aleksei] (1868-1936): the famous Russian and Soviet writer. - Kirnarsky, Mark (1893-1941?): graphic artist, book designer. Studied in VKhUTEMAS, the famous school of Russian avant-garde. Exhibited: in 1923 (Petrograd) with Tatlin, Filonov, Chernikhov; in 1927 (Leipzig) with Al'tman, Lissitzky; in 1928 (Cologne) with Klutsis, Telingater; in 1931 (Paris) with Popova (p/h), Rodchenko, Stepanova, etc.]
