[Konashevich, Vladimir (1888-1963): Well-known Russian and Soviet graphic artist and painter. Studied from Korovin and Maliutin. Professor of VKhUTEMAS, the famous school of Russian avant-garde. Mostly known for his illustrations for children's books. "World of Art" exponent. Exhinited in 1923 (Petrograd) with Tatlin, Filonov; in 1927 (Tokyo) with Altman, Stenberg; in 1930 (Berlin) with Favorsky, Lebedev, Malevich; in 1931 (Paris) with Klutsis, Lissitzky, Popova, Rodchenko, Stepanova, Telingater; etc.]
