There was no decent paper in Petrograd in 1919. Most books publishes in that period, like Mayakovsky's books, have similar problems.) [An important Formalist studies. - Brik, Osip (1888-1945): Russian Soviet writer, play-writer, literary critic. One of founders (with Mayakovsky, Rodchenko) of LEF ('Left Front"): the most important association of Soviet mid-1920's avant-garde writers, artists and photographers, architects and others. Shklovsky, Victor (1893-?): Well-known Soviet writer and literary critic. Was close to Futurism, Mayakovsky, Khlebnikov, Kruchenykh. One of the founders of Formalism in literary criticism (OPOIaZ) with Brik, Eichenbaum, et al. Eikhenbaum, Boris (1886-1959): well-known Soviet historian of literature. - Rare in any condition].
