8-1/4 x 9 (21 x 22.9 cm) ink drawing. (From the archive of A. Fevralsky). Inscribed by A. Fevralsky: "BATH. Drawing by Meyerhold 1930". Accompanied by signed paper (obviously from a publishing house) with a photograph of this drawing and inscription: "Sketch by V. E. Meyerhold to production of the "Bath" (scene of Pobedonosikov and Belvedonsky; 1930; kept by A. V. Fevralsky, is being published for the first time)". [Meyerhold, Vsevolod (1874-1940): a great Russian and Soviet Avant-garde theater producer and actor. Founder and producer of the famous Meyerhold Theater. Worked with Mayakovsky, Malevich, Rodchenko, Stepanova, Popova, etc. - Vladimir Mayakovsky (1893-1930) was the most famous Soviet poet. "Bath" was his last play.- Alexander Viliamovich Fevralsky (1901-198?) was a member of Meyerhold Theater and author of many works on Russian theater and Meyerhold in particular. - Meyerhold's drawings are extremely rare. A couple of them were reproduced in the catalogue of Meyerhold's centenary exhibition]
