Buraki, (Birch containers with handled lids), 2 pieces made in Velikii Ustiug.
Medium: Carved birch bark, "birch-bark lace", with colored foil backgrounds.
Size: 3-1/2" (9 cm) and 2" (5 cm) high.
Exhibited: Paris, 1960 with other items from this collection at "L'ART POPULAIRE RUSSE DU XIXeme SIECLE" (see items 200 and 201).
