Born in Yekaterinoslav, died in Kharkov. Ukrainian Soviet sculptor and graphic artist. Street design, posters, book design. Cubist, constructivist. Jewish by origin, was the Commissar of IZO (Art). Exhibited in 1925 (Paris) with Altman, Vesnin, Dobuzhinsky, I. Zdanevich, Kandinsky, Mayakovsky, Stenberg, Exter; in 1931 (Paris) with Lissitzky, Popova (p/h), Rodchenko, etc.]
