Yustitsky [Yustitski, Yustitskiy, Yustitskii, Yustitskij], Valentin Mikhailovich [Mikhaylovich] (1892-1951)

Well-known Russian Soviet Avant-garde theater designer, painter, graphic artist, monumental artist and composer. Participated in early futurist exhibitions: "Magazin" ("Shop"), salon "Yedinorog" (Unicorn). Lived in Moscow and Saratov where he was the head of school of Avant-garde art (Saratov Proletkult). A number of his pupils later moved to Moscow (Egorovs, Ershov, et al.)
