Cover (light-brown color, beautifully composed) and book ornamentation by S. Chekhonin. 'The Bat' was the famous Russian Theater of Miniatures: the first theater-cabaret. Founded by Nikita Baliev in 1908, existed until 1920. [Baliev, Nikita (1886?-1936): Well-known Russian actor. Especially known as director and master of ceremonies of founded by him first Russian Theater-cabaret 'The Bat'. Emigrated with his theater in 1920. Performed in Paris, New York.
