The book contains a lot of important information not only on Tairov, Meyerhold (the whole chapter), Mayakovsky, etc, but also on theater artists. In the Index one can see the names of Al'tman, Anisfel'd, Annenkov, Bakst, Benois, Burliuk, Dobuzhinsky, Diagilev, Zdanevich, Kamensky, Korovin, Malevich, Puni (Pougny), Roerich, Sudeikin, Chekhonin, et al. This volume was the only one published. This edition was discontinued in particular because with the advent of Stalinism the avant-garde and émigré artists were no longer in favor. [Belkin, Veniamin (1884-1951): Well-known Russian and Soviet artist. Paintings, graphic art, porcelain, architecture, agitprop. Studied in Paris.
