The artist's archive: three scrap-book albums with his Works
[Kharkiv (Kharkov), 1920's]

Three albums (8-1/2" x 7", 10-1/2" x 7-1/2", 6-1/2" x 7") with clips from magazines and newspapers, book and magazine covers, linocut, etc. - all by Innokenty Proskuriakov (Ke-Sha). The albums were assembled by the artist; two albums were made by himself with his drawings on front. Each page contains several pieces, often in layers. Altogether there are in three albums 530 or more pieces of various sizes on various subjects: revolution and Civil War, Red Army, foreign and domestic policy, anti-religious propaganda, etc.
Middle size album had the artist's design: "Kes-Sha. Caricatures". On the cover of the smaller album there is the artist's pencil sketch for the album's design with the same inscription.

Provenance: Artist's family.

A Rare collection of images representing the spirit of 1920's in Soviet Ukraine.
